I am so depressed now...everything is over...
Foundation day assembly yesterday, I was formally relieved of my duties as Creative Arts Captain. Looking at all the captain elects swearing the oath together...brings back so many memories of exactly 12 months ago, when I myself swore that oath along with:
- Todd MacGarvey
- Amy Van Onselen
- Chi Yeong Choi
- Natalie Ong
- Madeleine Marcridis
- Tegan Cotter
- Blake Tanner
- Stephanie Dunn
- Charnele Peat
"To provide service to the school through my role as Creative Arts Captain of the Australian International School Singapore..." It cost me 7 UAIs to do it but now it is mission complete, and I pass my baton onto the next generation of Captains. Do us proud, make the school proud captains.
Valedictory Dinner (like Ekuba but much higher class :D) at Goodwood Park Hotel yesterday night was very good, photos going up on facebook as soon as they are up. Sigh...got into my suit, got my photos taken with friends, got my graduation certificate, got my maths ext 2 award, clapped, got more photos. Its become all so...detached. As I was discussing with Todd, we are just at that stage in life, where we stand there and say "What now?"
After Valednictory dinner we head off to Mindy's house for afterparty. That was INSANE. 83 people, the whole of yr 12, all partying under one roof. One of the best parties yet. some interesting things like when Natalie kissed me in front of her ex boy friend...that was awkward (He looked like he wanted to kill me...) Then Louise decided to run off with ET hehehe. Then I had to carry a plastered Isabelle around, I will always be there for my sister no matter what ^^. Then Louise poured lemon tea w/ vodka on my suit pants... In total that night, I drank:
- 1x big cup 50% vodka/sprite
- 1x big cup 50% southern comfort/coke
- 2x bottles of beer
Still not drunk, I swear my kidneys work at like 500% efficiency. No alcohol can affect me, I didn't even turn red...haha no Asian Glow for me :P Got home at 3:00am today morning, feeling top of the world, still hyped from the party.
Then Friday...today, I seriously was so depressed. Morning all of us came in at 10:30am (yes I only slept for 4 hours) for breakfast made by the yr11s. Was a very good breakfast, thank you very much ppls. Frantically finding all the people to sign my souvenir book, some funny things and some very touching. I will never forget my friends here at AISS, even though we may be in all corners of the Earth next year.
Final assembly, can't believe I wore that stupid pink hat w/ a smart-casual suit jacket. Weirdest combination ever, but meh, was pretending to be a metro sexual haha. The awards were classic: most whipped, shortest attention span, biggest procrastinator, most likely to be pregnant by 21...loved it. At the end, Blake's final farewell, so touching. It really hit me when I heard this:
"For the last time, forever, can the school please stand as Year 12s exit the theatre."
It was all over.
14 years of schooling. 3 years at AISS, I will never regret leaving KHS, AISS will always be my real high school. Better facilities, better teachers, awesome people. I will never forget this short 3 years here in Singapore.
